Katurian would tell Elias that he'd like to die. Not immediately (he wants to re-write all of his stories first and that might take a few years), but as soon as possible. He doesn't expect Elias to understand this, but he hopes he'd at least grant him his wish if he helps him defeat the Fog God. He wants assurance that this is possible, and that Elias won't keep him around indefinitely like "mummy dearest." (He uses those exact words. He's bitter.)
