This is a place to send your prayers to the Fourth god. He may not always respond, or he may respond in ways you don’t expect, but he is always listening.

Speak, he hears you.

OOC note:  As of April 2020, threads with the gods will be capped at three NPC replies! Please keep this in mind when writing god prayers to make sure you get everything you need out of the thread.It’s also possible to handwave prayers by titling your comment HANDWAVED PRAYER. Handwaved prayers lack our usual flourish, but you can expect a faster response!

As of February 2024, god prayers will be handwaved only. Please only submit a prayer if you have a question for either god which needs answering in order to progress your character's arc within Ryslig. If this is something you need to tier up within the god boon system, or just to set up a player plot in general, please don't hesitate to submit a prayer about it! You may shorten it down to an OOC summary of what your character is asking. This will allow any of our helper mods to reply much faster, without having to dig into the specifics of either god's personality/writing quirks. Should this limitation be lifted again in the future, this note will be removed.

[The machine's sign illuminates. It's a new arcade game: THE VILLAINOUS DECEASED, where you play as Just Some Dude armed with guns and a circular saw, slicing and hacking away at hordes of vampires and liches. The game comes with a toy gun, and players are welcome to shoot at the screen to enjoy pixelated explosive blood effects.

[How can he not, when it's so easy to pick up the plastic gun and begin firing the trigger? How can he not, when he's been challenged to be the best? His arm interfaces easily with the controls--this is as natural to him as falling.

A wide grin stretches across his face as a zombie explodes in a satisfying mess of pixels. The rust-riddled gears in his impossibly small brain begin to turn.]

Uh, favorite snack? I dunno, potato chips are good. Big fan of chocolate chip cookies, too. Are we gonna have a celebration or somethin'?

[In Ash's mind, there's absolutely no way that this plan could go wrong. Everyone else would've probably dismissed it--everyone else did, in fact, dismiss it when he last proposed it on the network. But what did they know? The Fourth wouldn't encourage him unless it was a good idea, right?

In game, Ash gets smacked by a vampire and loses half his health bar. He frowns, focusing on his aiming and blasting through the hordes of undead. His points climb ever higher.]

You really think that old witch'll have somethin' up her sleeve? Worth a shot, I guess. Go big or go home, am I right?

[A BB-8 robot wheels out of the wall with a tray attached to the top of its "head." It comes bearing gifts: one enormous bowl of salty potato chips, a plate of chocolate chip cookies, and a can of cheap beer. Hope Ash-the-Shade can stay tangible long enough to enjoy them!]

[Oh, he's not gonna lose that easily. Ash fires the trigger again and mashes at the buttons, using his elbow to compensate for his missing right hand.]

Chainsaws are pretty dope. I dunno if that's gonna work on the Fog, but...we'll workshop it. See what we can do.

[He sees the robot slide over with treats in tow, and he grins, leaning over to pick up the beer. For a moment, he can delude himself into thinking that he can drink and eat, that his body does, in fact, require sustenance to thrive. The illusion is shattered when his hand slides into the beer.

He frowns briefly, straightening back up again to see a GAME OVER screen on the arcade machine. With a light groan, he leans forward to punch in his name--just a step below the top player on the high score list.
