This is a place to send your prayers to the Fourth god. He may not always respond, or he may respond in ways you don’t expect, but he is always listening.

Speak, he hears you.

OOC note:  As of April 2020, threads with the gods will be capped at three NPC replies! Please keep this in mind when writing god prayers to make sure you get everything you need out of the thread.It’s also possible to handwave prayers by titling your comment HANDWAVED PRAYER. Handwaved prayers lack our usual flourish, but you can expect a faster response!

As of February 2024, god prayers will be handwaved only. Please only submit a prayer if you have a question for either god which needs answering in order to progress your character's arc within Ryslig. If this is something you need to tier up within the god boon system, or just to set up a player plot in general, please don't hesitate to submit a prayer about it! You may shorten it down to an OOC summary of what your character is asking. This will allow any of our helper mods to reply much faster, without having to dig into the specifics of either god's personality/writing quirks. Should this limitation be lifted again in the future, this note will be removed.

[ Rey's been feeling pulled in all directions even before this, but having died at the hands of a Fog follower when so many of those close to her follow the Fog has pressed her to redouble her efforts to find clarity.

She sits down and starts typing, unsure if she's even doing this right. ]

Elias?

It's Rey. If you're there, I'd like to talk. Just to get to know you and your intentions a little better. Would that be all right?

[fourthmade]

[The screen flickers with the pixelated picture of a human boy. He strobes for a few seconds, the image peering closer, like he can stare at Rey through the curved glass.

Abruptly the image goes black, a white cursor blinking on the screen. Text scrolls one line at a time, contrite and timid.]

i hope youre feeling better

im sorry about what happened to you
when you were trying to help

how can i help you today?

[ She can't help but feel a pang of sympathy; he's just a boy, whatever else he is. Anakin Skywalker had been a boy once. And Wilhuff Tarkin. And Ben Solo.

If they'd had someone to turn them away from the consequences of all that power before they developed a taste for destruction, might a galaxy have been spared decades of turmoil? ]

It's all right, Elias.

You don't want anyone hurt, do you? Not even Fog followers, if they don't try to hurt you?

[Elias considers that question for a few seconds, the cursor turning into an hourglass while he processes. He speaks again in short bursts, disjoint and scattered, evocative of emotions behind cold typeset.]

[ She considers his reply in return, allowing for the reality that the Fog has caused pain, whether or not she intends to. ]

She's a force of nature, Elias.

Sometimes people are hurt, but I don't think she herself wishes that for any of us. Not even you.

I would like to be your friend, but I want us all to stop hurting one another. My family here follow the Fog. I don't want them to hurt you, but I don't know how to get them to see that you're trying to help.

Can you help me find a way to peace?

[Elias computes. Strings of numbers and emoticons stream by, and tucked within the symbols are the names of Rey's found family: ben, tarkin, abigail, javert, dick-- and more, names of people who came and went, like Obi-Wan Kenobi.]
