This is a place to send your prayers to the Fourth god. He may not always respond, or he may respond in ways you don’t expect, but he is always listening.

OOC note: As of April 2020, threads with the gods will be capped at three NPC replies! Please keep this in mind when writing god prayers to make sure you get everything you need out of the thread.It’s also possible to handwave prayers by titling your comment HANDWAVED PRAYER. Handwaved prayers lack our usual flourish, but you can expect a faster response!

As of February 2024, god prayers will be handwaved only. Please only submit a prayer if you have a question for either god which needs answering in order to progress your character's arc within Ryslig. If this is something you need to tier up within the god boon system, or just to set up a player plot in general, please don't hesitate to submit a prayer about it! You may shorten it down to an OOC summary of what your character is asking. This will allow any of our helper mods to reply much faster, without having to dig into the specifics of either god's personality/writing quirks. Should this limitation be lifted again in the future, this note will be removed.

[Ugh, gross, he has to feign concern for Elias after this terrible incident- he has to be invested to get what he wants, especially with spending more time here meditating among the thrum of technology and offering to play air hockey with the child god. If Nos is going to get what he wants, he has to play nice with the Fourth for the long game. So he comes in again, perching on a pinball machine and laying a mechanical hand on it's top, breathing in the air of the arcade. It's as close to home as he gets after all.]

... as much as I commend their dedication, I need to ensure this petty bombing hasn't harmed you in any way, Elias.

[The pinball machine ejects a ball into the playing field. It moves, whirs, and tilts like an invisible hand guides the knobs, hitting each paddle with effortless grace. Thunk. Thunk. Plunk! The ball sinks into the highest-point socket. Another ball loads onto the spring.

Elias's voice comes from everywhere and nowhere. It feels and sounds like typeset stamped on the inside of Nos's head.]

[Well. He didn't much like being called out on his blatant bull, but the Lich pauses. He couldn't just overpower Elias now. He was nowhere near ready. So he may as well... tell the truth.]

But if you want me to be violent, why... who am I to argue. I was programmed only for a swift and destructive victory, I am the best person to invest your time in for that purpose.

[The second ball springs onto the playing field. This one hits the paddles with precisely-timed strikes, allowing it to bounce back and forth between a high paddle on the left and a low paddle on the right without hitting anything else at all.]
