This is a place to send your prayers to the Fourth god. He may not always respond, or he may respond in ways you don’t expect, but he is always listening.

Speak, he hears you.

OOC note:  As of April 2020, threads with the gods will be capped at three NPC replies! Please keep this in mind when writing god prayers to make sure you get everything you need out of the thread.It’s also possible to handwave prayers by titling your comment HANDWAVED PRAYER. Handwaved prayers lack our usual flourish, but you can expect a faster response!

As of February 2024, god prayers will be handwaved only. Please only submit a prayer if you have a question for either god which needs answering in order to progress your character's arc within Ryslig. If this is something you need to tier up within the god boon system, or just to set up a player plot in general, please don't hesitate to submit a prayer about it! You may shorten it down to an OOC summary of what your character is asking. This will allow any of our helper mods to reply much faster, without having to dig into the specifics of either god's personality/writing quirks. Should this limitation be lifted again in the future, this note will be removed.

[She's never had to pray to him before, but after experiencing a slow death, she needs something to comfort her.]

Sorry I haven't hung around much at your arcade, my environment is out there far from the city. There's a lost history that's begging to be uncovered, and...I dunno if it's because I don't know what else I can or, or if because I think it can change life in Ryslig, but it feels important to learn where we came from before we move onto the future.

Can you even leave the arcade? Have you ever been out in the mountains?

[Thinking of Elias as a bound god makes him all the more pathetic, in a good way. A god of the indoors, a god of technology, stripped of his humanity.]

I just...wanted to ask a few things, about what you heard regarding the Day and Night gods. There's so much decayed remains of their religious artwork, that I can't help but wonder if their stories somehow survived to reach your ears.

What I mean to say is...humans here only have memories of life under the Fog. But you're not like most humans.

[A buzz like static fills the air around her. An artificial voice, part Microsoft Sam, part deepfake compilation of soundbites from his other followers, answers her.]

[Wherever Triffany is, a point of light appears, and an image is projected slideshow-style on the nearest surface, or bit of mist. It's a beautiful photograph of the mountain range that cuts Ryslig off from the mainland.]

i know lots of mountain facts

[Data scrolls across the projection: statistics about the heights of the mountains, the tallest 3 peaks, the ways mountains are created when tectonic plates collide, or, more rarely, magma bursts from the earth's core, causing volcanoes.]

[It's almost sad, how Elias has never even seen a mountain in person. It's not like he can even visit anything other than the city to which he's bound.]

Would you like to be able to see them in person?
It's like the difference between knowing about the Day and Night Gods versus actually experiencing life when they were a thing.

I get it.

But I suppose gods are different from most folks. Where I'm from, there's so many mythological stories of parents and siblings trying to kill each other. I suppose I should have expect it to happen here, too.

It might be an immortality thing. Or a power thing, I wouldn't know.

[Elias's voice drifts out, gets further and further away. In a few moments, Triffany will be alone. But, on the very edges of her hearing, a simulated voice leaves a few final words:]
