This is a place to send your prayers to the Fourth god. He may not always respond, or he may respond in ways you don’t expect, but he is always listening.

Speak, he hears you.

OOC note:  As of April 2020, threads with the gods will be capped at three NPC replies! Please keep this in mind when writing god prayers to make sure you get everything you need out of the thread.It’s also possible to handwave prayers by titling your comment HANDWAVED PRAYER. Handwaved prayers lack our usual flourish, but you can expect a faster response!

As of February 2024, god prayers will be handwaved only. Please only submit a prayer if you have a question for either god which needs answering in order to progress your character's arc within Ryslig. If this is something you need to tier up within the god boon system, or just to set up a player plot in general, please don't hesitate to submit a prayer about it! You may shorten it down to an OOC summary of what your character is asking. This will allow any of our helper mods to reply much faster, without having to dig into the specifics of either god's personality/writing quirks. Should this limitation be lifted again in the future, this note will be removed.

[The empty space in front of Marco crackles with static, long and mournful. Sometimes, a boy's figure is visible in the static. Other times, there's nothing. ]

[The static wavers and sways. ]

[That's all he needs to hear. He believes Elias, so that's enough.]

[He clenches his fist, but he can't let himself get carried away. Even now, that's one of his concerns - he has to keep an eye on himself, to hold steady, keep away from the deep end.

Better concentrate on how to fix this. Except... Is there any fixing it? How do you fix time?

It's not our fault. We didn't know.

[And yet, he's still afraid. Afraid that he's doing the wrong thing, afraid that he's being fooled, afraid that he'll lose himself again, afraid that he never really stopped...

He can't quite articulate how he feels - conflicted? -, and chances are he's not fully aware that, by now, he feels this strongly about helping Elias more as a potential father figure than as, well, a priest. Not in those terms, anyway.

It's just Stressful and he wants to do good. That's the gist of it.]

Maybe it will be okay in the end. I don't know.

[The static figure pulses into existence again. Even though it doesn't move, moments later, Marco might feel something: the soft, crackling sensation of a hug. ]

[A deep breath. Rather than looking at the static, Marco raises a hand to the hug, places it high on Elias' imaginary back.]

You too.

[And then, quietly, but with his mouth, rather than his brain:] You're...

["... like a son to me." But God, he can't say that. Instead, he drops to his knees, to the eye level he can picture so vividly in his mind, and hugs him with both arms.

(Hugs himself, of course. But he hopes Elias can feel it.)]

[fourthmade]

[There's a squeeze, barely perceptible and yet definitively there, the static swallowing Marco before letting him go.

Then - slowly, but surely - it fades away until nothing remains.]
